Select and Change your Template

1. Use the filters on the Jimdo Template Filter page to pick the perfect one.


2. Log into your Jimdo website and click on the templates button in the Site Admin.


3. Select a template to preview.


4. Press the save button to apply it.


Add your Logo

1. Log into your website and click on the existing logo, or logo placeholder.


2. Click on the upload photo button and select the logo file from your computer.


3. Use the controls to change the size or orientation of the logo and save.


Modify the Navigation

1. Move your mouse near the main navigation menu and click the blue "edit navigation" button that appears.


2. Click any page name in the edit navigation panel to rename it.


3. Use the button to create new pages and the arrows to rearrange pages.


4. Delete pages using the trashcan icon and hide them within the navigation menu using the eyeball icon.


Change the Background

1. Click on the Style button in the Site Admin and then on the Backgrounds tab across the top.

 

2. Upload an image an to the Photos area.

 

3. Drag the new image into the Current Photo slot and save.

 


Style your website

1. Click on the Style button in the Site Admin to enter Style Mode.

 

2. Select the primary colors and fonts in the General mode to make them better match the logo.

 

3. Click on the Specific tab and then on any aspect of your website where you would like to override the style.

 

4. Save.

 


Preparing placeholder content

1. Every page of the site should have some placeholder content.

 

2. All content should match the website (no bicycle placeholder images on a restaurant site).

 

3. Spacing elements and columns elements give you the control to place content where you want it and add whitespace.

 

4. Add at least one hyperlink within a text element (it can link to another page of the site).
